When next week looks familiar

Repeat the shift.
Review the week.

A work shift can repeat while the household plan around it changes. Select recorded unavailable intervals, choose how many calendar weeks later they belong, and review their new dates beside conflict counts before adding the copies.

Plan the next week

A concrete example

Alex records a Monday shift from 16:00 to 20:00. Copying it one week later keeps Alex and those local clock times. If Alex is already responsible for a 17:00 grocery pickup on that later Monday, the review shows an overlapping commitment. The pickup remains assigned to Alex until a separate change is recorded.

Choose the intervals, then inspect the dates

  1. Open the notebook and find “Repeat unavailable intervals.” Select 1–30 existing intervals. Each choice shows the person and full start and end dates.
  2. Choose 1–12 weeks later. This makes one later copy of each selected interval, not a recurring series.
  3. Review original and target dates. Commitment overlaps and unavailable-interval overlaps are counted separately for that person. Touching endpoints do not overlap.
  4. Add the reviewed intervals explicitly, or cancel without changing the notebook. Save in the browser or download a private backup afterward.

Overnight shifts keep their dates

A shift beginning Monday at 22:00 and ending Tuesday at 06:00 remains an overnight interval in its target week. The calculation uses the notebook’s planning time zone. Across a daylight-saving change, local clock times are preserved even when elapsed hours differ.

Clock changes need an explicit choice

If a target local time occurs twice or does not exist, the whole copy batch is rejected. Enter that exceptional interval through the existing editor, which lets you choose the first or second occurrence of a repeated time. The tool does not silently pick one.

What a copy contains

Copies keep the title, person and shifted dates, with fresh identifiers. Private notes are blank. Existing intervals, responsibilities and proposal history are unchanged. Overlap counts may include other copies in the same batch; they flag a review, not a resolution.

Keep the plan deliberately

The browser notebook supports up to 500 unavailable intervals. Copying preserves the version-1 private notebook format used by the native development build. It does not add automatic recurrence, notifications or calendar synchronization. Repeat commitments separately, or review the seven-day agenda.
